Experience:
Bernadette Kearney joined the Real Estate and Zoning Department at Hamburg, Rubin, Mullin, Maxwell & Lupin in December 1998. Prior to joining the firm, Bernadette served as a law clerk for the Honorable Emanuel A. Bertin of the Montgomery County Court of Common Pleas. While attending Temple University School of Law in the evening, Bernadette worked full time for the Clerk's Office of the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania as a Case Administrator for Chief Bankruptcy Judge David A. Scholl.

Areas of Concentration:
Her areas of concentration include municipal, real estate, zoning and bankruptcy. Bernadette has represented clients before municipalities, zoning hearing boards, the Bankruptcy court of the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, the Court of Common Pleas and the Commonwealth Court of Pennsylvania. She has also attended meetings and hearings acting as solicitor to townships and zoning hearing boards.

Bernadette has represented commercial and residential clients in land acquisitions and financing. She has also represented lenders who finance commercial and residential developments.

Professional and Civic Activities:
Bernadette is a member of the Pennsylvania and Montgomery County Bar Associations. She was the Young Lawyer Chair for the Montgomery Bar Association in 2003 and currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Montgomery Bar Association. She is Co-Chair of the Montgomery Bar Association Municipal Law committee and is a member of the Real Estate/Land Use Committee. Bernadette also serves as one of the Regional Coordinators for the High School Mock Trials sponsored by the Pennsylvania Bar Association.

Bernadette attended Temple University where she earned a B.A. in Journalism, Summa Cum Laude, in May 1990 and received her J.D., Cum Laude, from Temple University School of Law, in May 1997.
