Joseph J. McGrory, Jr., is a partner in the law firm of Hamburg, Rubin, Mullin, Maxwell & Lupin. His practice is limited to zoning, subdivision, land development and municipal law.
He is currently the Zoning Hearing Board Solicitor for Plymouth Township and Upper Merion Township as well as Solicitor for West Conshohocken Borough and Douglass Township-Berks County.

He has been involved with land use cases involving power plants, quarries, mobile home parks, high rise complexes, a 2,000 unit complex, billboards, a trash to steam plant and many other difficult land use cases.
In addition to representing several municipalities and applicants over the years, he has also been appointed special counsel for the purpose of drafting zoning ordinances for several municipalities.

Professional and Civic Activities:
He has been chairman of the Montgomery Bar Association Real Estate Committee on multiple occasions. He was on the Board of Directors of the Montgomery Bar Association and the chief editor of the Law Reporter. He is a repeat lecturer for the Real Estate Institute wherein the Pennsylvania Bar Association has attorneys from across the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania come to the Philadelphia Convention Center for seminar on real estate. He has also been a repeat lecturer for the Lorman Group on real estate issues as well as a speaker for the Pennsylvania State Association of Township Supervisors.
A few years ago, he formed the Montgomery County Zoning Officers Association and he continues to be its solicitor and a frequent speaker at the meetings.
Joe was the manager of several Little League baseball teams and served as coach of several Biddy Basketball teams. Additionally, he was a founder and coach for a summer basketball league. He is a life member of the West Norriton Ambulance Squad. He was president of the West Norriton Optimist Club. He was a member of the Executive Board for the Valley Forge Council of Boy Scouts. He served on the Board of Directors for Norristown Rotary and Norristown Jaycees.
EDUCATION
Joe is admitted to practice before all Pennsylvania Courts as well as the U.S. Eastern District Court and the U.S. Third Circuit Court. He received his B.S. in Business Administration from Villanova University, 1980, and his law degree from Delaware Law School, 1983.
