The Real Estate Group hosted “An Insider’s Guide to the Hottest Real Estate Legal Developments” builders seminar on Tuesday, March 15, 2016. The seminar was held at Plymouth Country Club.
Topics discussed included:
- Taking a Zoning Case Through from Start to Finish – Attendees learned how to take 15 properties and turn them into a shopping center – a zoning case from start to finish. Presented by J. Edmund Mullin, Esq.
- Stormwater Management – Attendees learned how to comply with DEP’s new NPDES permitting process and how to understand the new permit termination process from the beginning of a project. Presented by Joseph W. Catuzzi, Esq.
- Associations – This discussion concentrated on the transition of associations from developer to homeowner control: how to work with the new board and the municipality. Presented by Carl N. Weiner, Esq.
- Moran Decision – Information was shared regarding the Moran case which was recently decided by the Supreme Court and the effect on developers’ ability to offer money or other benefits to the municipality in exchange for approvals. Presented by Joseph J. McGrory, Jr., Esq. and John F. Walko, Esq.
