Legal Assistant/Paralegal
Location: Lansdale, PA (Montgomery County)
Position Type: Full-Time
We are seeking an experienced and motivated paralegal to join our Real Estate & Land Use Department.
In this role, you will support attorneys in a wide range of real estate and land use matters, including residential and commercial transactions, zoning and land development applications, and municipal proceedings. You will work closely with clients, title companies, lenders, and municipal officials, while managing deadlines and preparing key legal documents.
This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented individual with experience in real estate transactions and zoning matters who is looking to contribute to a fast-paced and team-oriented practice.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare, review, and manage real estate documents, including agreements of sale, deeds, easements, leases, and closing documents
Assist with residential and commercial real estate transactions from contract through closing
Order and review title searches, title commitments, and surveys
Draft and prepare zoning and land use applications (e.g., variances, special exceptions, conditional uses)
Communicate with municipalities regarding zoning, subdivision, and land development matters
Assist attorneys in preparation for zoning hearings, planning commission meetings, and related proceedings
Track and manage deadlines for transactions, filings, and municipal approvals
Prepare legal notices, correspondence, and related filings
Conduct due diligence, including zoning research, municipal code review, and title issue analysis
Maintain organized case files and document management systems
Provide general administrative support and collaborate with team members to meet client and firm objectives
Qualifications:
Minimum of three (3) years of paralegal experience in real estate, land use, zoning, or municipal law
Strong knowledge of real estate transactions and closing processes
Familiarity with zoning ordinances, municipal procedures, and land development processes preferred
Experience reviewing title commitments, surveys, and related due diligence materials
Ability to manage multiple deadlines and maintain an organized calendar system
Strong drafting skills for legal documents and correspondence
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal document management systems
Paralegal certification or equivalent experience
