Litigation Associate Attorney
(Personal Injury)

Location: Lansdale, PA (Montgomery County)
Position Type: Full-Time

HRMML is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Litigation Associate with 4 to 5 years of substantive experience to manage a diverse and dynamic caseload from inception through trial.

This role offers the opportunity to take primary responsibility for cases, including developing litigation strategy, conducting discovery, drafting and arguing motions, and representing clients in court. The ideal candidate brings strong courtroom presence, well-honed deposition and witness examination skills, and the ability to navigate complex legal and factual issues with confidence. A proactive mindset, excellent written and oral advocacy, and a genuine desire to take ownership of matters and drive them to successful resolution are essential. Candidates should thrive in a collaborative yet fast-paced environment and demonstrate a commitment to delivering high-quality legal work and exceptional client service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Case Management: Manage a litigation docket of personal injury matters, including motor vehicle accidents, premises liability, and general liability, from discovery to resolution.

  • Depositions & Discovery: Independently take and defend depositions of clients, witnesses, and experts. Draft and respond to discovery requests, including interrogatories and document production.

  • Motion Practice & Hearings: Draft, file, and argue motions, including motions to compel, motions for summary judgment, and pre-trial motions.

  • Trial Preparation & Trial: Prepare cases for trial, including drafting pre-trial memoranda, organizing exhibits, and preparing witnesses. Participate in jury trials, including jury selection, opening/closing arguments, and examination of witnesses.

  • Client & Case Strategy: Develop case strategies in collaboration with senior attorneys and maintain consistent communication with clients to provide case updates.

  • Negotiation: Negotiate settlements with insurance adjusters and opposing counsel. 

Qualifications:

  • Experience: 4-5 years of civil litigation experience, with a focus on plaintiff or defense personal injury preferred.

  • Skills: Proven experience with depositions and first-chair or active second-chair trial experience.

  • Licensure: Active license to practice law in PA in good standing.

  • Soft Skills: Strong legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills, with the ability to work independently.

Legal Assistant/Paralegal

We are seeking an experienced and motivated legal assistant to join our Estate Planning Department.

In this role, you will support attorneys in a wide range of estate planning matters, including the preparation of wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and other related documents. You will work closely with clients to gather information, ensure a smooth and thoughtful planning process, and help coordinate document execution and file management while maintaining strict attention to detail and deadlines.

This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented individual with experience in estate planning who is looking to contribute to a collaborative, client-focused practice.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare, review, and manage estate planning documents, including wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and advance healthcare directives

  • Assist attorneys with the estate planning process from initial client intake through document execution and finalization

  • Communicate with clients to gather necessary information and ensure accuracy of documents

  • Coordinate and schedule client meetings, signings, and notarizations

  • Maintain and update client files, ensuring all documents are properly organized and stored

  • Track and manage deadlines, follow-ups, and outstanding client items

  • Draft correspondence and assist with client communications in a professional and timely manner

  • Provide support with probate and estate administration tasks, as applicable

  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive client information at all times

  • Provide general administrative support and collaborate with team members to meet client and firm objectives

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of three (3) years legal assistant experience in estate planning and/or estate administration

  • Strong knowledge of estate planning documents, including wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and advance directives

  • Experience assisting with probate and estate administration preferred

  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines and maintain an organized calendar system

  • Strong drafting skills for legal documents and client correspondence

  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a client-focused approach

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal document management systems

  • Paralegal certification or equivalent experience preferred
