HRMM&L Attorney Mark Himsworth Secures $435,000+ Arbitration Award in Construction Payment Dispute
Hamburg, Rubin, Mullin, Maxwell & Lupin is pleased to announce that attorney Mark Himsworth successfully secured a $435,571.78 arbitration award on behalf of an electrical subcontractor in a payment dispute involving two large commercial construction projects.
The subcontractor had completed its contractual obligations, providing electrical services and equipment for the projects, but was owed more than $415,000 in unpaid invoices despite repeated demands for payment.
Himsworth pursued claims for breach of contract, unjust enrichment, and violations of Pennsylvania's Contractor and Subcontractor Payment Act (CASPA) on behalf of the client.
Following an arbitration hearing on August 20, 2026, the arbitrator ruled in favor of the subcontractor, awarding $435,571.78 in unpaid invoices, interest, attorneys' fees, and costs.
This result highlights the importance of enforcing contractual payment obligations and demonstrates the remedies available to subcontractors when they are not properly compensated for completed work.
