Jack X. Jiang is an Associate in the Firm’s Trusts and Estates practice. He advises individuals, families, and closely held businesses on estate planning, estate and trust administration, and tax matters, offering thoughtful, practical guidance tailored to each client’s goals and circumstances.
Jack works with clients to design and implement comprehensive estate plans aligned with their financial and legacy objectives. His experience includes drafting wills, revocable and irrevocable trusts, and advanced planning structures such as spousal lifetime access trusts (SLATs), irrevocable life insurance trusts (ILITs), and grantor retained annuity trusts (GRATs). He also counsels fiduciaries throughout the estate and trust administration process—from initial probate through final distribution—assisting with asset marshaling, fiduciary accountings, beneficiary coordination, and related tax filings. In addition, Jack prepares Pennsylvania inheritance tax returns and federal gift tax returns and represents clients in Orphans’ Court proceedings involving trust modifications, fiduciary matters, and estate-related disputes.
Prior to joining HRMM&L, Jack worked at estate planning firms in the greater Philadelphia region. He also served as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable John W. Herron in the Philadelphia Orphans’ Court, where he gained valuable insight into probate litigation, fiduciary administration, and judicial decision-making.
Before entering the legal profession, Jack worked in medical research focused on fluorescence-guided surgical advancements. This experience shaped his analytical mindset and attention to detail, which continue to inform his approach to legal practice.
Jack earned his LL.M. in Taxation, along with an Estate Planning Certificate, from Temple University Beasley School of Law. He received his J.D. from Drexel University Thomas R. Kline School of Law and his B.S. from University of Pittsburgh.
