Steven Hann Presents PMAA Webinar on PFAS Compliance
Hamburg, Rubin, Mullin, Maxwell & Lupin is pleased to share that attorney Steven Hann recently presented a timely webinar, “Navigating PFAS Compliance: Regulatory, Legal, and Operational Challenges for Municipal Authorities.”
The program, offered by the Pennsylvania Municipal Authorities Association, addressed the rapidly evolving regulatory landscape surrounding per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) and their growing impact on municipal authorities. As federal and state agencies expand oversight, municipalities face increasing legal, operational, and financial challenges in managing PFAS in drinking water, wastewater, and biosolids systems.
During the session, Steven provided practical guidance on key compliance considerations, including the designation of PFAS as hazardous substances under CERCLA, implications for biosolids management, and emerging litigation risks. He also discussed strategies for meeting federal and state drinking water standards, implementing effective monitoring programs.
The webinar also reviewed current EPA initiatives and enforcement trends shaping how municipal entities address PFAS-related challenges.
