Steven A. Hann Speaks on Key Municipal and Environmental Issues at Multiple Events

Steven A. Hann, Esquire, Chair of the firm’s Environmental Law Department, recently shared his expertise on critical municipal and environmental issues at multiple professional events. Steve presented at the Berks County Bar Association on “A Solicitor’s Guide to Runoff, Regulations and Public Utilities,” where he discussed stormwater-related challenges, including a stormwater fee update and the privatization of municipal entities in Pennsylvania.

Additionally, Steve was a featured speaker at the Pennsylvania Municipal Authorities Association’s (PMAA) 82nd Annual Conference & Trade Show in Hershey, where he participated in several sessions covering key topics affecting municipal authorities. His presentations addressed recent judicial decisions, federal and state environmental initiatives—particularly those related to PFAS—stormwater fees, bidding and procurement, and legislative updates on the Municipality Authorities Act, Sunshine Act, and Right to Know Law.

A recognized authority in environmental and municipal law, Steve frequently speaks on issues impacting municipal entities across Pennsylvania. In his role as East Region Solicitor for PMAA, he regularly collaborates with Association staff and member authorities on matters concerning the management and operation of water, wastewater, stormwater, and solid waste.

In addition to his recent speaking engagements, Steve authored “The Federal Government’s Response to Cyberattacks on Water and Wastewater Systems,” published in The Authority magazine.
