Before practicing law, Mark built experience in marketing and worked as a private investigator, sharpening his analytical and problem-solving skills.

Mark Umansky is a member of the firm’s Litigation Department, where he represents clients in a wide range of civil and commercial disputes. He advises businesses, individuals, and organizations on matters involving contract disputes, business torts, and other complex commercial issues, providing tailored strategies that balance legal precision with practical business considerations.

Mark earned his Juris Doctor degree from Villanova University’s Charles Widger School of Law. While in law school, he gained valuable judicial experience as a judicial extern to the Honorable Elizabeth T. Hey of the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania. He also worked at an immigration law firm, where he drew upon his fluency in Russian to assist individuals navigating the U.S. immigration process. Mark’s academic achievements include graduating cum laude from Rutgers University of New Jersey, where he earned a dual Bachelor’s degree in History and Political Science.

Before entering the legal profession, Mark built a diverse career foundation outside of law. He worked in the marketing sector, collaborating with large corporations to expand and refine their digital presence, brand messaging, and strategic campaigns. Earlier in his career, he served as a private investigator, conducting insurance and workers’ compensation fraud investigations—an experience that honed his skills in research, fact-finding, and analysis, which he now leverages in his litigation practice.
