Ethan O’Shea is a longtime member of the firm and serves as Chair of its Criminal Defense and Employment Law Groups. For more than 25 years, he has been a trusted advocate in the Litigation Department, representing corporate and individual clients in employment law, commercial litigation, real estate litigation, and criminal law. He regularly appears before the Pennsylvania Human Relations Commission and the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, and has tried cases in both federal and state courts across Pennsylvania.

Before joining the firm, Ethan served as a Senior Deputy District Attorney in the Bucks County District Attorney’s Office, where he was a member of the Child and Sexual Abuse Unit and prosecuted a broad range of criminal cases in the Court of Common Pleas. He began his legal career as a law clerk for the Honorable Edward G. Biester, Jr., of the Bucks County Court of Common Pleas.

Ethan is active in the legal community as a member of the Pennsylvania, Bucks, and Montgomery Bar Associations. He has lectured extensively on employment and criminal law for organizations including the Pennsylvania Bar Institute, Pennsylvania Municipal Authorities Association, Montgomery Bar Association, and People’s Law School. He is a past president of the Montgomery Bar Association’s Trial Lawyers Section, past chair of its Employment Law Committee, and past vice-chair of its Criminal Defense Committee. He also serves on the Board of Main Line Television 21 (MLTV21).

Dedicated to public service, Ethan has served as a Director of the Plymouth Community Ambulance Association, volunteered with Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Montgomery and Bucks Counties, and served as a board member of the Montgomery County Victim-Offender Conferencing Program.

Ethan earned his B.A. in International Relations from Bucknell University and his J.D. from The George Washington University National Law Center. In 2003, he further refined his trial advocacy skills at Temple University’s Academy of Advocacy.
